Turn Your Generosity Into Lifetime Income
Charitable Gift Annuities
If you are looking for ways to support Trinity Missions, you shouldn't feel like you are choosing between your philanthropic goals and financial security. A charitable gift annuity allows you to support Trinity Missions' ministries while receiving fixed payments for life.
A charitable gift annuity involves a simple contract where you agree to make a gift and in return, you (and someone else, if you choose) are paid a fixed amount each year for the rest of your life (or lives).
Not only does this gift provide you with regular payments and allow us to further our work, but when you create a charitable gift annuity you can receive a variety of tax benefits, including a federal income tax charitable deduction.
Trinity Missions has partnered with the National Catholic Community Foundation (NCCF) to provide our friends and benefactors the opportunity to participate in a charitable gift annuity agreement while supporting Trinity Missions at the same time. Your gift will be made to NCCF, and your payments will come directly from them. When you enter into the contract, you will direct the NCCF to put the remaining value of the annuity after your death into Trinity Missions' Donor Advised Fund, which is held at the Foundation. We are then able to use your gift to support our missionary work.
The minimum age to establish a current Gift Annuity is 65 years old, and the minimum gift amount is $5,000.
A charitable gift annuity can help to ensure that elderly citizens in Mississippi have a roof over their heads; that Native Americans who are struggling with poverty are counseled and supported; and that our retired priests and Brothers are cared for in their old age after dedicating their lives to God.
Delay Your Payments
If you are younger than 65 or don't need your payments immediately, you can set up a deferred gift annuity. This allows you to delay receiving payments until a later date—such as when you reach retirement. To learn more, view and download the FREE guide Plan for Retirement With a Deferred Gift Annuity.

Say that Justin, 66, and Mary, 65, want to make a contribution to Trinity Missions that will support our work for generations to come, but they also want to ensure that they have dependable income during their retirement years. They establish a $20,000 charitable gift annuity with Trinity Missions. Based on their ages, they will receive a payment rate of 4.3 percent, which means that they will receive $860 each year for the remainder of their lives. They're also eligible for a federal income tax charitable deduction of $5,544* when they itemize. Finally, they know that after their lifetimes, the remaining amount will be used to support our mission.
*Based on annual payments and a 2.4 percent charitable midterm federal rate. Deductions vary based on income earned.
